OBJECTIVE: Create an animated title sequence for a fictional James Bond movie, called Solstice, using motion graphics animated in Adobe After Effects.

Plot

On a mission abroad, Agent 007, James Bond, encounters a mercenary working for a mysterious organization known as “SOLSTICE.” In an attempt to learn more about the organization, he discovers SOLSTICE has been taking advantage of the British government’s technology through surveillance systems. Already having begun selling confidential MI6 data to third parties, SOLSTICE plans to launch a targeted attack on the MI6 utilizing information they’ve acquired over the years to bring the country crumbling down. Upon piecing the puzzle together, Bond must race to save the MI6 and the future of the country before SOLSTICE has its way. 

Moodboard & Inspiration

I began by putting together a moodboard to flesh out the intended aesthetic. I leaned particularly heavily into the style of Saul Bass and graphic novels from the 60s, the time period during which the first James Bond movie was made.
